About
WHO WE ARE
Hope Refuge is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to serving the developmental needs of youth at-risk, and furthering the cause to end child sexual exploitation.
Our Mission
Hope Refuge’s mission is to provide hope to survivors of the sex traffic trade in America, offering programs and services to address the hurt and trauma caused by commercial sexual exploitation, focusing on empowering them toward their dreams and destinies.
The Hope Refuge Experience
The Hope Refuge Experience will include programs addressing the spirit, soul, and body in the restoration and healing process. The girls will be given an opportunity to discover their dreams, and challenged to pursue those dreams. The programs focus on personal development and forward thinking that will lead to growth, awareness, and understanding of their unique identities. It is critical that the girls realize that there are positive choices, options, and opportunities available to them as opposed to the shame and hopeless acceptance of a life of sexual abuse.
Partners
The program at Hope Refuge is being developed in partnership with Saving Innocence (www.savinginnocence.org). Saving Innocence is a Los Angeles based non-profit organization working with the L.A. police dept., the Dept. of Children and Family Services, and the juvenile court system to provide rescue, case management, and placement services for trafficked girls. The program is also being developed in conjunction with several task force groups in Los Angeles consisting of the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children Task Force (ICAN), Los Angeles Metropolitan Human Trafficking Task Force, and the DCFS/Probation Department on Human Trafficking Task Force. After the girls complete the program an appropriate and safe placement will be found where they can continue to grow and heal.
